You are here: Home > About Agriscape

Agriscape was started in April 1999. Initially it served as a directory on agriculture and its surrounding industry. Today, the main goal of the site is to provide a trading platform, marketing services and search technology to the international trading industry. The website consists of a worldwide directory, including commercial sites, research and academic sites as well as an extensive set of discussion forums on any topic related to international trade. It also contains classified ads, yellow pages listings, news, and more.

Regarding the website directory, all the links found in our various categories are carefully chosen before inclusion. Unlike other sites, we do not use robots to automatically insert sites in our database. This ensures that the sites included are of high quality, and the short descriptions for each site are written by our editors rather than having a computer program pick some keywords from the site's contents. The sites are either chosen by our editorial team or submitted by their webmasters to our database.

As a service to the international community, our company is commited to promoting businesses to the international markets. We offer a variety of marketing services that anybody can use to freely expand your business.

Currently in order to promote your business you can take advantage of the following free services:

If you are looking to sell products, try our classified ad section or search for government bids at http://www.agriscape.com/gp

Our site can also be used to locate information or products. Our search engine does not support the "OR" function. In other words if you enter 3 words it will look for results that contain all 3 words. If you are not getting any results try using fewer keywords. Searching first will look for pages that match the exact phrase. For example if you enter "Seeds in India" it will look for this phrase in this particular order. Subsequently it will look for results that contain the keywords "Seeds" and "India" in any order. The keyword "in" is not used in this case, since prepositions rarely help giving good search results. Searching is case insensitive.
